Whilst currently spending my evenings sifting throught every scrap of research I can find on 'flexible spaces' and optical illusions it occured to me to consider the design in my office. Like many, I'm sure, I have a 9-5 job a few days a week at Carillion mostly consisting of editing and formatting documents. To my great delight yesterday I was asked to design a mini brochures for the schools Carillion built in Leeds to give to prospective clients.
Simple in layout maybe, but I realised that for the first time in about 10 months I'm actually beginning to enjoy designing again! This is quite a break through for me, as I'm now starting to appreciate ervry-day design all around me and this makes me hungry to do well this year.
